SUMMARY:Contractors Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:Please join us at our Contractors Roundtable for an opportunity to meet with fellow contractors. This month's topic will be dealing with insurance companies in remodeling. Our speakers will be Bryan Johnson and Travis Jones. Bryan Johnson\, owner of Collin Bryan Construction\, and Travis Jones\, Senior Project Manager\, will be joining us for lunch to talk about one of the foundational components of their business insurance contracting. Bryan has mastered the art of running a successful storm restoration business amidst the ever changing standards and practices of insurance companies\, primarily focusing on roofs and all trades connected to an insurance claim. Travis will talk about the latest developments and implications from House Bills 2102 and 2103 which deal with the unlawful practices of contractors waiving insurance deductibles and acting as a public insurance adjuster. These bills have been signed into law by Governor Abbott and take effect September 1\, 2019.
